About Jennifer M Schopf
Dr. Schopf leads the International Networks at Indiana University (IN@IU) team, which has a 25 year history of supporting the use of transoceanic networks to Europe, Africa, and Asia, with a focus on science engagement, measurement, monitoring, and advocacy for end-users in developing nations.
Schopf also leads the Engagement and Performance Operations Center (EPOC), which supports US domestic R&E data sharing. Prior to IU, Schopf spent four years at the US National Science Foundation (NSF) overseeing programs focusing on deployed networks, distributed systems, and pragmatic software. She was a founding member of the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution’s Ocean Informatics team, a senior member of the Globus team for over 7 years, and spent 3½ years at the UK National eScience Center in Edinburgh, Scotland. She has co-authored over 50 refereed papers and given over 200 invited talks and presentations.
